Abby Oliver-Martin - M.Ost, PG Cert

Abby graduated with a Masters of Osteopathy from the European School 2015 and was nominated for Associate of the Year in 2019. Her intrigue into the human body and health directed her to a career in osteopathy, where she could work in an industry where her specialist training has given her a developed knowledge in anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, warranting the ability to assess and treat effectively and proficiently.

Abby uses techniques such as articulation, soft tissue work, manipulations and MET, but has also had experience using more subtle techniques such as Cranial, Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT) techniques and Fascial techniques which can be used on patients of all ages. She is also certified in Medical Acupuncture/Dry needling, Kinesiology Taping and Myofascial cupping. Working with a wide variety of patients and is passionate about tailoring treatment for the patient’s needs, whilst also incorporating beneficial exercises and lifestyle choices.

She is a keen sports woman participating in horse riding, netball and skiing herself and has a broad understanding about the demands that sports activities can cause on the body. She likes to work with the patient to try and get them functioning as well as they can, as quickly as they can while preventing further or reoccurrence of injury.

Abby also trained to treat horses with Stuart McGregor at the Osteopathic centre for animals and has a special interest in the treatment of horse riders as she has the ability to understand both the horse and riders’ biomechanics and how they should be working together. 

​She was the two-time winner of Best Equine Osteopath of the Midlands, awarded by The Midland Enterprise Awards in 2018 and LUX Life Pet products and services awards in 2020.
