About Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a hands-on manual therapy, working on the musculoskeletal structures and to optimise the function of the body.

The ultimate aim is to reduce pain, compensations and improve overall wellbeing.

Osteopaths pride themselves on working on the whole of the body not only the area of dysfunction, ensuring the skeleton, ligamentous, muscular and connective tissues are working harmoniously to promote total body health and achieve optimal comfort, well-being and performance

Treatment includes a variety of hands on techniques including joint manipulation, soft tissue techniques, articulation, myofascial, and cranial releases. Our osteopaths are also certified in Medical Acupuncture and myofascial cupping.

What do we treat?

Osteopaths treat many conditions, most people think of us as ‘back specialists’. Back pain is what many osteopaths treat, but Osteopaths have a holistic approach and believe that your whole body will work well if your body is in good structural balance, imagine, for example, a car that has one of its front wheels not quite pointing straight. It may run well for a while, but after a few thousand miles, the tyre will wear out.

You can apply this example to the human body, which is why it is so important to keep the body in good balance.

We use a wide range of techniques, including manipulation massage, cranial techniques and joint mobilisation and exercises so that we focus on your needs.

Osteopaths assess and treat people of any age from the elderly to the newborn and from pregnant women to sports people.
